Before any ropes go up, there is a file.
Every JASPI project starts on paper: method statement, risk assessment, rescue plan and insurance policy, handed over before the first day on site. That is the standard we work to on every job — and it is what protects the building, its occupants and our team.
Decree-Law 50/2005, Articles 36 to 39
In Portugal, temporary work at height and rope access and positioning techniques are governed by Decree-Law 50/2005. Rope access may only be used where the risk assessment justifies it, and under the conditions the law sets out — which is exactly how we work, on every project, without exception.
All the documentation for a project is available to the building owner, the safety coordinator and the managing agent.
The file for every project
Four documents, every time. The RAMS pack — risk assessment and method statement — handed to the client before work starts, ready to file.
Method statement
Method, phasing, the team assigned, anchor points and protection at ground level.
BEFORE WORK STARTSRisk assessment
Hazards identified and control measures, specific to the building and its surroundings.
BEFORE WORK STARTSRescue plan
A rescue procedure written for the project, with the kit on site and the team trained on it.
BEFORE WORK STARTSInsurance policy
Public liability and employers' liability, sent with the quote.
BEFORE THE ORDER
Twin ropes, always. Every item of kit individually logged.
Need our documentation for your records?
Ask for the insurance policy and the project file before placing the order. The policy goes out with the quote, and the rest is handed over before the first day on site, ready to file.
